Data:-

In data communication, Data is the information that will be used to communicate agreed between the source and destination computing device.

Types of Data:-

Text Data:-Contains single or multiple line text.

Audio Data:- Contains audio file.

Multimedia:- Contains video file.

Communication:- In data communication the message will transfer from source to destination through the various numbers of communicating devices.

Computer Network:-

When two or more devices are connected to a particular link then it is called Network.

Components of computer network:-

Message:-It is a information or different contents to be transmitted.

Source:-

It is a computing device from where the message will be generated. All computers in a network setup act as a Source.

Destination:-

It is a computing device from where the message will reach. All computers in a network setup act as a Destination.

Transmission Media:-

It is a medium through which the message will transfer from source to destination.

Ex:- Cable, Air

Protocols:-

Protocols are set of rules and regulation that govern by data communication. Without protocol

computers are connected but not communicated.

Data Flow:-

Data can be transmitted in multiple way

                                                                i) Simplex

                                                                ii) Half Duplex

                                                                iii) Duplex

Simplex:-

In simplex mode, dataflow data will be transmitted in one direction. i.e sender will send the data and receiver will always receive the data

Half Duplex:-

In Half Duplex mode, dataflow data will be transmitted in a bidirectional manner, not at a time. The source can be a sender and receiver not at a time.

Duplex:-

In Half Duplex mode, dataflow data will be transmitted in bidirectional at a time. Both the source and receiver can be a sender and receiver at a time.
