How to Transfer or Move Domain to GoDaddy Account?

You can transfer your Domain to GoDaddy from another registrar. You’ll have to set up your Domain name at your present registrar prior to finishing the steps with GoDaddy. Assuming your domain is as of now enlisted with GoDaddy, you can transfer your Domain to another GoDaddy account.

Prepare for transfer

To set up your Domain name for transfer, you’ll have to finish a couple of steps with your present current registrar.

  • Unlock the Domain name with your present enlistment registrar.
  • Get an authorization code or Domain Key (also known as an EPP code or transfer key) from your present registrar.
  • Confirm contact data on your domain name. The administrator’s contact data might be utilized by your present current registrar during the transfer process

Initiate the transfer

  • Look for the Domain you need to transfer on the GoDaddy site.

Note: Domains are not qualified for transfer to another registrar assuming they are inside 60 days of registration or a past exchange, or then again in the event that a client picked in to apply a 60-day transfer lock after a Change of Registrant.

  • Confirm the Domain is unlocked. You’ll see a green mark next to Unlock the Domain. In the event that this segment isn’t green, you’ll have to check with your present enlistment registrar that your domain is unlocked.

Note: You can refresh the unlock status by choosing the Refresh Status button.

  • Enter your authorization code in the subsequent field. Assuming the approval code entered is valid, you’ll get a green mark.
  • Click Continue.
  • Select your Domain protection choices, and click Continue.
  • Choose your payment method, and click Complete Purchase to complete checkout.

Note: Domain transfers can require 5 to 7 days to finish.
